Always have a property inspected before you buy it to ensure you are making a sound investment. Compare this checklist against the home inspection report you receive from the certified home inspector. The inspectors report should identify issues that don’t meet safety codes, followed by repairs or upgrades that will need replacement within a year or so, and any other issues with the property. After receiving the property report buyers may rescind their offer, ask the seller to make required repairs, or reduce their offer based on the addition expenses that will be required to improve the home.
